Chinese New Year Party in Berlin
On January 18, on the eve of Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival which is celebrated annually according to the lunar calendar, our partners gathered in the office of the city of Berlin in order to plunge into the atmosphere of Chinese culture and feel the arrival of the most important holiday for not only the Chinese-speaking world, but also for many other East Asia countries!

Thanks to the administration of the German branch, the partners had a chance to experience how to decorate the room, what food to serve and what gifts to prepare!

The entire office was decorated with red lanterns, paired strips of red paper with various wishes were pasted on the door, and of course they hung the 福 "happiness" character turned upside down. This tradition is based on the fact that the Chinese phrases 福 到 "happiness comes" and 福 倒 "inverted happiness" sound identical. Therefore, an inverted character symbolizes happiness coming to the house. Certainly, it would not be possible to celebrate the New Year properly without dumplings, the most important festive dish! It was a wonderful day in a warm family atmosphere with lots of wishes and joy!

Happy New Year to all!
